Diocletian, 284-305. Follis (Bronze, 27 mm, 10.25 g, 6 h), Carthage, circa 297. IMP DIOCLETIANVS P F AVG Laureate head of Diocletian to right. Rev. FELIX ADVENT AVGG NN / PKP Africa standing front, head to left, holding vexillum in her right hand and elephant tusk in her left; at feet to left, forepart of a lion on a bull to left, head right; in field to left, A. RIC 21a. A lovely example with a dark patina. The reverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, extremely fine.
